Fluffy-Cakes / Street

Out for a walk after work along High Holborn, this is an office building entrance. I really liked the reception background. I waited for the right moment when a bus would pass on the right hand side, otherwise the shot wouldn't have looked so busy. This guy was on a break playing a game on his phone; he was so engrossed that he didn't even notice me taking a couple of shots... I stumbled upon this amazing dirty, gritty, grimey street which is just across the road from Liverpool Street Station. I found this wicked little alley way when getting off the bus at Tottenham Court Road. I hung around for a while trying to get some good angles. One of my favourite shots thus far. I really love the light and the writing on the wall. There's a new development going on next door to my work, and I get a good view of it all. I waited until these guys were in sync when bending over for cabling. I had an early shift all that week and was rewarded with a good sunrise nearly every day, so I had enough time to try and find a good spot for a quick snap. This was taken on top of the poles outside Canary Wharf tube. Just one of those moments when you think something will make a good shot if you just wait for it to happen... Just trying out my new Fujifilm X100 I've walked past this bar a lot and always thought it would make a good shot with the drinks lit up. There's another version I have which is B&W and I think looks better. I never really thought that out of focus shots looked any good, but sometimes they do. This makes a really good background for the PC or phone.
