Monday 2nd of February showed the most severe snow to hit London in over 15 years, thankfully I was there to experience it.
I woke up that morning and looked out my window to find the whole of our building court-yard gleeming white from snow. Not knowing if the public transport system was working I got dressed, grabbed my camera and walked to the bus stop. After waiting about 5min I soon realised that the buses weren't coming and walked to the train station.
Upon arrival to the train station I was informed that there was very limited service, and due to the weather conditions it was advised not to travel unless I had to. So, I figured I didn't have to, I turned around and walked home.
I got home and rugged up in thermal pants, thermal top, thermal socks and many many layers of clothing. The next 4 hours I spent roaming my local park, Battersea Park, taking photos of the magical thing called snow.
This was my first proper snow experience... yay! |
