A shot I've always wanted to get but never had the weather to do it. I rushed home and grabbed my kit before the sunset on this summers day. This is taken near the very busy Victoria train station. One of the most magical sunrises in London I have ever seen. I really like how all the lines lead directly to the centre, even the jet trails. I scoped this place out 2 days before actually doing the shoot. I really like how a plan comes together after trying to work it out. Taken on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning that I almost missed because I went to the wrong train platform. I was lucky enough to get this shot thou, and I was even more lucky to have this person walk thru it! The sunset for the days leading up to this were amazing; the sky was almost red each time. Sadly, however, this was not the case for when I finally remember to bring my gear into work. This was taken about 45cm from the ground. I only managed to get 1 shot off before I was told to leave (no photography permit), and I'm so glad it actually worked out. It's strange; some people prefer the colour, others prefre the B&W. I like both. This was taken about 45cm from the ground. I only managed to get 1 shot off before I was told to leave (no photography permit), and I'm so glad it actually worked out. It's strange; some people prefer the colour, others prefer the B&W. I like both. Famouse Leadenhall Market of Bank where Harry Potter bought his wand. I took this image after work just as sunset started to kick in. City Hall is the strange building at the end of the steps. I had this idea in my head for quite some time now and it was finally good to get it without any people in it. I really like the juxtoposition in this shot and how the cheap Cokin ND filters put a dash of purple in the scene. This photo was composed of 6 shots where the last one was for a 10second exposure for the fountains. I merged 5 as HDR and layed the last by blending/painting it in. Tower Bridge sunrise at 6am on a Saturday morning. I had to wait 15min or so until some late night party people moved out of the frame. Unfortunately there weren't any clouds that morning (strange for London), so the top part of the frame seems a bit emtpy. Because of this, I think a wide format without some of the sky looks better . I would have loved to get someone in the shot sitting on the seats, but when it's an early Saturday morning there's not many people around. I love the lines and countours in this image, and using a really wide lens helps exagerate those. I've always wanted to get a shot like this, but usually there's 30,000 cars going past at any minute. This was taken at sunrise, and even then I was running out on the road and back just in time. This is one of my ex-work offices; I've taken this shot a couple of times but only now got the one I want. I was up at 5:30am to get this. The pinkish tone added to this was due to the cheap Cokin ND filters. I love the fisheye effect, it really draws your eye into the centre. This is composed of 6 images merged using the tone mapping method. Curves, saturation and sharpness applied in Photoshop. This is an old shot and I'm not 100% satisfied with it, I need to work on the sky contrasting near the building... I bought a fisheye and just 'had' to try it out. This is composed of 5 images using the tone mapping method. A few more tweaks in Photoshop to sharpen and enhance contrast.
