Fluffy-Cakes / Holidays Set

My friends from Aus, Nigel and Shannon, enjoying an Amstel beer hours before leaving Amsterdam Looking from a bridge down the canal. I converted this into a retro 70's style image to help give it character. 1 of these muffins was more then enough to create some hazey memories. Hence the lack of photos. A cross prossed photo of Nigel and Shannon on their way back to the train station with all their touring kit. I got up at 4am and hiked it back up on top of Areopagus Rock to catch the morning sunrise. The sun came from the right, giving the city a glowing pink colour as it peeked over Lykavittos Hill. As the sun rose a little higher, I noticed other little photographic treasures like this rock face. One of my favourite shots; the colour in the sky is very soft and harmonious. The detail in the window and concrete building are awesome, the colours really give it some punch too. The sun briefly came out of an overcast afternoon to give a warm glow to this local mosque. I loved the detail in the door that I just had to take a photo. Given that it's a couple hundred years old, it's definitely handled the years well. The storm had passed and the sun had started to set, giving the city a warm glow. Some random dude watching/photographing the sunrise. I staked out this sunset shot for about 4hrs; sitting in one place for most of the time, fending off tourists trying to take my place. I wasn't gonna have any of that! My first ever twilight photo. I used a neutral density filter so I could slow the shutter speed down and get car light trails. Ahh... A classic surfer photo! An old man feeding the birds, and they all came from everywhere! There were a lot more there then in the photo. I have no idea why where old escalators stacked up on top of each other on the beach, but it was worth a photo nonetheless. A local fisherman on the port of Valencia. The water is beautifully blue and clear. Paul MacKinnon on 500px
