I was just hanging around a bus stop looking for something to photograph when a bus pulled beside me and I saw these two, so I thought why not? Always have your camera with you, even when you think you've got nothing to photograph, because some opportunities appear at the most unexpected time. This is a bar in Covent Garden, thou it's not nearly as busy as it usually is. This guy was totally asleep to the world, not even the busy and loud traffic near Leicester Square would wake him up. Well, that was until someone poked him to buy some smokes. Another photo of a tube sign on the other side of the tracks. It seems this is becoming a bit of a series on its own :P Originally I wanted to get a shot like this at Bank tube station, but when I stumbled at this lift in Covent Garden station I just had to take a shot. Well, it actually took me a couple of shots, and a couple of climbs back up the stairs to get in the busy lift again as it was not always easy to assure yourself a spot at the very center of the lift in the very back row. I just got off the train and was looking at a poster on the wall as my train left. As I finished reading the poster another train arrived and I turned around to find this in front of me. I thought it was worth a shot. An image I've had in my mind for a while now and have been debating whether to shoot it with a wide angle or fish eye, but in the end shot it with a wide angle because I wanted to keep the lines straight. This was shot just after the photo for 'Last Night'. As I got to the top of the stairs I turned around and saw promise in the tube hall with the train lines leading down the center. Taken at Canary Wharf on a late Friday night as the train pulls in. It was 3'C, Brrrrrr... I'd say it's more like a crowd then a line. Massive train delays aren't a very common occerance at Waterloo, but one I've been hanging out to photograph the chaos when it does. I spent about 15min trying to get some snaps while at the same time being pushed and shoved around by people wanting to get bye. I wish I had a better viewpoint and more time to do it (running late for a party)... Ah well, there's always next time. This is what happens when you hold back the morning travellers for 20min and then release them into the tube. Chaos. There's no courtesy when it comes to allowing people off the train. It's not the first time I've done a photo like this, but I really do like the texture and light play. Taken at Kings Cross Station underneath the international train line. Another photo that I've done similarly before, but not one done for the Daily Grind ;) Amongst the hustle and bustle of a busy tube station there are 'some' people that aren't rushing about. I had this shot in my head for a while, it just took some guts to get on my hands and knees to photographs peoples feet.
